Complete Studio Programming Schedule

Spotlight Games

Road Test Weekend includes 12 ranked teams on the road against tough opponents, with nine of the games on an ESPN network. In addition, ESPN will offer coverage of 10 of the 14 matchups between undefeated programs.

This week’s schedule also includes the only two games between ranked teams:

Thursday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. (ESPN, ESPN 3D & ESPN3) – No. 3 LSU at No. 25 Mississippi State

  • LSU has won the past 11 matchups against Mississippi State and 18 of the last 19.
  • MSU is playing LSU after losing a close game to Auburn on Saturday, missing its first opportunity to go 2-0 since 2000.

Saturday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. (ABC) – No. 1 Oklahoma at No. 5 Florida State

  • Second matchup between top five programs this season.
  • Seventh meeting between the traditional power programs but the first by the Sooners to Tallahassee.
  • Oklahoma has won the past five games between the teams, including last year’s 47-17 victory in Norman.
  • A showdown between Stoops brothers: Bob is head coach at Oklahoma, while Mark is the defensive coordinator at Florida State.

Spotlight: Anish Shroff

Another new face joins ESPNU – SportsCenter anchor Anish Shroff takes an official seat at the ESPNU desk with Dari Nowkhah beginning this week. The duo will host everything from college football to hoops along with lacrosse, baseball, softball and more on the 24-hour college sports network.

Shroff is only the fourth anchor for the network since its launch in 2005.  Click here for three questions with ESPNU’s newest host.

On ESPNU

New Show Alert! College Football Featured debuted Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The half-hour show offers a crash course in the best stories and features from the weekend’s football action.

All-Access: Texas A&M debuted Wednesday at 7 p.m. with head coach Mike Sherman and defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter wired at practice as the team dealt with impending questions of leaving the Big 12 for the SEC.

ESPNU Road Trip followed at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday as co-hosts “Drubner” and Niki Noto took in the scenery when the lights went on in The Big House for the first time.

College GameDay Notebook

Saturday at 9-10 a.m. (ESPNU) & 10 a.m.-noon (ESPN) – College GameDay heads to Tallahassee, Fla., for its seventh all-time visit to the FSU campus. The show last visited on Oct. 11, 2003 for then-No. 2 Miami at then-No. 6 Florida State.

On Saturday, the GameDay set will be located at Langford Green outside the Doak S. Campbell Stadium.

In honor of College GameDay’s stop in Tallahassee this Saturday, we went way back in our college sports time capsule. From the Thursday GameNight days, we give former FSU head coach Bobby Bowden, who this week revealed his personal battle with cancer, a lighthearted nod.

And in a GameDay family first, ESPN’s own Desmond Howard brought two adorable, miniature guest pickers to the set in Ann Arbor – his twin boys. They correctly picked the winner: Michigan over Notre Dame. Howard was honored this past weekend by his alma mater Michigan for his outstanding contributions as #21 for the football team.

And that will do it.
