TNT to Announce 2014 NBA All-Star Starters Before Thursday Night Doubleheader

TNT, the NBA’s Network of Record dating back to the 1990’s, will be on the case Thursday with the announcement of the All-Star Game starting lineups. The announcement will be made during a one-hour edition of NBA Tip-Off at 7 p.m. ET just before its weekly Thursday night doubleheader.

Starting at 8 p.m. ET, TNT airs the Los Angeles Lakers at the two-time defending champions Miami Heat followed by Denver at Portland in the nightcap.

Exclusive Doubleheader Action to Follow Pre-game Show – Lakers vs. Heat & Nuggets vs. Trail Blazers

TNT will exclusively televise the announcement of the 2014 NBA All-Star starters during a special one-hour edition of TNT NBA Tip-Off on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. ET.  Ernie Johnson will host the pregame show with analysts Grant Hill, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith.

Following the pre-game show, TNT will present an exclusive doubleheader beginning with the Miami Heat and LeBron James hosting the Los Angeles Lakers and Pau Gasol at 8 p.m. ET. Charles Barkley will move from the NBA on TNT studio to a courtside seat alongside Marv Albert, analyst Steve Kerr and reporter David Aldridge. The second game of the night will showcase a Western Conference match-up when the Portland Trail Blazers and LaMarcus Aldridge take on the Denver Nuggets and Ty Lawson at 10:30 p.m. Kevin Harlan will handle play-by-play with analyst Reggie Miller and reporter Craig Sager.

Inside the NBA with Johnson, Hill, O’Neal and Smith will recap the night’s action following the doubleheader.
