Let’s do some linkage as we reach mid-week.

Chris Chase of USA Today’s For the Win blog notes that Serena Williams had some explosive quotes in Rolling Stone about the Steubenville, OH rape case.

As a result Williams made a statement on her website saying she was misquoted.

At the Sherman Report, Ed Sherman explains why NBC is putting two Stanley Cup Final games on NBC Sports Network at the expense of bigger ratings.

Cynopsis Sports looks at MLS beginning its own in-house production company similar to NFL Films.

John Eggerton of Broadcasting & Cable says two senators are urging the FCC to lift the sports television blackout rules.

Tim Baysinger of B&C has NBC Sports Group Chairman Mark Lazarus discussing more cable and satellite providers joining the NBC Sports Live Extra app and the growth of NBC Sports Network.

Ken Kerschbaumer of Sports Video Group has NBC Sports Group Chair Mark Lazarus being bullish on “TV Everywhere.”

Dade Hayes from Multichannel News tells us that MLB Advanced Media President & CEO Bob Bowman is attempting to find a happy medium between online providers and TV programmers.

CFL Daily has a few details about the pending ESPN and NBC US TV deals for Canadian Football. This is the most I’ve ever written on the CFL since I began this site.
