I have the press releases from ESPN2 and CBS for Sunday’s U.S. Open action. As you’re aware by now, weather forced the suspension of the second men’s semifinal between David Ferrer and Novak Djokovic in the first set. ESPN2 which was going to airing the women’s doubles final gets a bonus match again. In the past, it’s been a Women’s Final on a Sunday night or the conclusion the Men’s Final last year. Now, it’s the second men’s semifinal. ESPN2 starts its coverage at 11 a.m. ET and it will conclude with the women’s doubles match.

ESPN2 to Televise Conclusion of US Open Men’s Semifinal Sunday at 11 a.m. ET
Play Stopped in First Set, Ferrer to Serve Leading Djokovic 5-2
ESPN2 will televise live the conclusion of the US Open Men’s Singles Semifinal between defending champion Novak Djokovic and David Ferrer on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. ET. The match began today before approaching storms stopped play at Arthur Ashe Stadium with Ferrer serving and leading 5-2 in the first set. The action will also be available on ESPN3.
This unexpected addition to ESPN2’s extensive coverage of tennis final major event of the year comes after nearly 100 hours of action over the last two weeks from the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York.
ESPN2’s scheduled live telecast of the Women’s Doubles at 12:30 p.m. will now take place at 1:30 p.m. The No. 3 seeded team of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic will face Italians Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci, the No. 2 seed, on Armstrong Stadium. ESPN2 will air the previously scheduled special two-hour edition of SportsCenter at the US Open at 9 p.m.
All of ESPN2’s telecasts are also available online through WatchESPN.com, and on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app. Both are accessible to fans who receive their video service from an affiliated provider.
The 30-year-old Ferrer of Spain, the No. 4 seed, is seeking is his first-ever appearance in the final of a Major. Djokovic, 25, has won the Australian Open three times and Wimbledon in 2011, in addition to his victory in New York a year ago. The No. 2 seed from Serbia, he has not lost a set to date in this year’s US Open. The winner will face Andy Murray of Scotland, the No. 3 seed, on Monday, September 10.
And CBS comes in at 4:30 p.m. ET after its regional NFL coverage to air the women’s final between Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams. Bill Macatee, John McEnroe and Mary Carillo will call the match.

CBS Sports’ continuing coverage of the U.S. Open Tennis Championships on Sunday, September 9 (4:30 PM, ET following NFL ON CBS coverage) is highlighted by the women’s championship as No. 1-seed Victoria Azarenka takes on No. 4-seed Serena Williams.
The men’s championship, to be played on Monday, September 10 (4:00 PM, ET), pits the winner of No. 2-seed Novak Djokovic/No. 4 David Ferrer against No. 3-seed Andy Murray.
Lead play-by-play announcer Bill Macatee will be joined by analysts Mary Carillo and John McEnroe in the booth. Mary Joe Fernandez serves as reporter.
Additionally, the remaining U.S. Open play on CBS Sports, including both the men’s and women’s singles championships, will be streamed live on CBSSports.com.
