The 2014-15 NFL on CBS Schedule

In addition to its eight-game Thursday Night Football schedule, CBS has a full schedule of Sunday afternoon games. CBS has a 106-game schedule and for the first time since it had the NFC package ending in 1993-94, the Tiffany Network will be able to air full NFC matchups which CBS is calling “Crossover Games.”

We already know three of the Crossovers, Carolina at Baltimore in Week 4 on September 27, Washington at San Diego in Week 12 on November 23 and Chicago at Detroit on Thanksgiving Day, November 27 at 12:30 p.m. ET. There can be more NFC Crossover Games as the Flex can now take effect starting in Week 5. There can’t be more than two flexes between Weeks 5 and 10, but from Week 11 through 17, there can be multiple flexes.

Some highlights for the 2014-15 NFL season on CBS:

  • CBS will be able to air NFC games in the 4:25 p.m. ET timeslot and Fox will be able to air AFC201 games in an attempt to bring the most attractive games to that window.
  • CBS will have nine doubleheaders and this marks its final year of having just one game in Week 1 as the network ends its long association with the U.S. Open.
  • CBS will air one AFC Wild Card Playoff game and apparently it will air one Divisional Playoff game as NBC will enter Divisional Weekend for the first time since 1998.
  • Its annual London game will be Miami vs. Oakland on September 28 in Week 4.

Let’s take a look at what CBS is saying about its 55th season in covering The League Where They Play for Pay.
