(On Florida)
For Florida to win, the formula is simple to state but difficult to accomplish: No turnovers, few penalties and stop LSU’s run game. Jeff Demps is key. If he is not 100 percent, LSU will gang up on Chris Rainey and the game could get out of hand. Florida’s front seven will hold up, but can the pass defense keep LSU from making big plays?(On LSU Cornerback Tyrann Mathieu)
Charles Woodson and Ndamukong Suh are the only two individual defensive players I can remember that have as much impact as Tyrann Mathieu, a true ball magnet.(On Les Miles)
LSU is best when they play “Bo Ball” (Bo Schembechler). Miles grew up under smash-mouth football at Michigan and has gone back to his roots. He gets tough wins, and allows his skilled athletes to take over the game. Miles has an ability to coach through difficult team issues, which he did with the suspension of quarterback Jordan Jefferson. There is no way any coach could navigate that situation if the team didn’t trust him. They do and, together, they are stronger for it.
That’s going to do it.
