Fans Can Interact With CBS’ Gary Danielson On the Bus As He Rides Home From Games

Yes, according to CBS, Gary Danielson will interacting with fans on a new mobile media bus that will be equipped with WiFi, Satellite TV and plenty of gadgets where he can engage people. Now I don’t know if this will be like the Maddencruiser that John Madden utilized to get to and from NFL games. I’m not sure if Gary will go home from SEC football games this way, but CBS is making it appear as if he will. And immediately following the SEC on CBS after Verne Lundquist signs off, Danielson will make a dash for the bus and take part in a new online show for CBSSports.com called, “5th Quarter with Gary Danielson.”

The SEC on CBS crew including Uncle Verne, Tracy “The Wolf” Wolfson and “Mr. College Football” Tony Barnhart will join Gary during various points of the season and contribute to the show.

I actually want to see this on Saturday as it debuts following the season premiere of the SEC on CBS which will be Tennessee at Florida.

Take a look at the press release.

CBS SPORTS’ LEAD COLLEGE FOOTBALL ANALYST GARY DANIELSON RIDES INTO 2011 SEASON ABOARD “SEC ON CBS CRUISER”

DANIELSON TO PROVIDE CONTENT FOR CBS SPORTS, CBS SPORTS NETWORK AND CBSSPORTS.COM FROM NEW MOBILE MEDIA BUS  ON-SITE AT “SEC GAME OF THE WEEK”
CBSSports.com to Launch New, Interactive Post-Game Show  “5th Quarter with Gary Danielson”

CBS Sports’ lead college football analyst Gary Danielson rides into the 2011 SEC football season aboard the SEC ON CBS CRUISER, a new mobile media bus that will be on-site at every CBS Sports “SEC game of the Week.” The SEC ON CBS CRUISER will be parked outside SEC stadiums throughout the season providing various pre-game reports and interviews for CBS Sports, CBS Sports Network and CBSSports.com, including a new interactive online show, “5th Quarter with Gary Danielson.”  The bus makes its debut this Saturday, Sept. 17 in Gainesville, Fla. as Tennessee takes on Florida.

CBSSports.com’s “5th Quarter with Gary Danielson” provides fans an opportunity to chat with Danielson immediately following the “SEC Game of the Week” as he travels home on the bus. Danielson also will contribute on-site to various CBS platforms including CBS Sports Network’s SEC TODAY (2:00 PM, ET) and CBS Sports’ pre-game studio show COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY (3:00 PM, ET). CBS Sports announcers Verne Lundquist, Tracy Wolfson and Tony Barnhartalso will contribute to programming from the bus.

“The ‘Cruiser’ adds to CBS Sports’ leading SEC football coverage, providing our personalities the ability to further interact with fans and bring the SEC game-day experience to our various broadcast, cable and online programming,” said Sean McManus, Chairman, CBS Sports. “With the “5th Quarter” fans now have a platform to discuss all the day’s SEC storylines and college football news with Gary.”

The all-access mobile media vehicle is fully outfitted with the latest technology and includes four televisions, two satellite feeds and WiFi. In addition to the “5th Quarter,” Danielson will continue to interact with fans live on Twitter (@DanielsonCBS) as his weekly road trip winds through SEC country after the game.

So this should be quite interesting. Will Gary be in his smoking jacket, pipe and slippers while riding on the bus? That’s what I want to see.
