DAN MARINO: You look at these two, and what careers they’ve really had, I think the challenge today is going to be for the defense of the New York Giants. How do you deal with Peyton Manning and the weapons that he has. I looked at the film last week against Baltimore. They tried everything against him. They blitzed him. They played man-coverage, single-high safety. They played two deep, and they just couldn’t do anything with it. So it’s going to be a concern for the New York Giants defense.
BILL COWHER: They play in two contrasting offenses. You look at Denver. They throw the ball and run it to complement it. Eli would like to run the ball and complement it with a pass. The difference I see is the offensive lines. The offensive line of Denver is solid. They’ve got a Pro Bowler in the left tackle. The offensive line for Eli is a little bit shaky, and they’ve got a running game where they can’t even get the guy to hold on to the ball. The complementary pieces right now absolutely favor Peyton.
SHANNON SHARPE: Having played in the NFL, having played my brother in the National Football League, I found myself sometimes when he was out there on the field talking about, ‘Go, go. No, don’t go. Go get him guys. He’s trying to beat us.’ I can assure you this is what these brothers are going through today.
BOOMER ESIASON: Talking about Eli Manning here, 69 turnovers since 2010, the most at that position. That’s why I would take Denver and lean towards Denver, simply because Peyton protects the ball better than Eli.

SHARPE: He is a dominant player. He has Defensive Player of the Year potential… But this guy has a problem. He’s in denial. And denial is not a river in Africa. He does not believe there is something wrong with him. The problem is, here’s the thing, this causes you to lose ballgames. If you don’t think his behavior, which is careless and reckless, will cause you to lose ballgames, ask the Cincinnati Bengals, and Lavonte David of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because their play cost them ballgames last week.
BOOMER: I think the fine is woefully soft. $100,000 is nothing to him. He’s made about $51 million, or will make that guaranteed. The fact of the matter is he should be suspended from the league for at least six games. I compare this to the Saints BountyGate. If you’re going to suspend those guys, take Sean Payton and Gregg Williams off the field for a year and those guys lose those paychecks, this guy should be sat down.

AMY TRASK: While many people may have been surprised by (Terrelle Pryor’s) performance, I was not. I have been a proponent for quite a long time of giving this young man an opportunity. Give him a chance. When Reggie McKenzie and Dennis Allen made the decision to move on from Carson Palmer, I thought the obvious and the smart answer was to give Pryor a shot. See what he has. See what he can do. It didn’t make sense to me to make the trade for Matt Flynn. There’s a high cost associated with that trade both in terms of draft picks and of course the compensation of Flynn. And you‘ve got Pryor sitting there, give him a chance. You’ve stated it’s a team in transition, give him a chance. And let me tell you one other thing about Terelle Pryor, this is a remarkable, remarkable young man. I had the opportunity to work with him day in and day out. He is a tremendous young man with a work ethic that reminds me of Rich Gannon.

BART SCOTT: He’s the most poised young kid I have ever given a cheap shot to. I gave him a great cheap shot last year and he said, ‘Thank you Mr. Scott.’ You can’t rattle this kid. This guy is poised in the pocket… I took an extra step, gave him a nice little rib shot just to let him know I’m around. But he took it like a man, got up and I respect that.
