CBS Sports To Stream Selected College Basketball Games

No thanks to CBS Sports which has been slacking in sending me certain press releases, I’ve found this release and it’s quite important. CBS has announced that it will stream selected regular season college basketball games on CBSSports.com. These include Big East, Big Ten and SEC games. FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, Dec. 15, 2010 – CBSSports.com and CBS Sports Mobile today announced they will again provide live streaming webcasts of select CBS Sports broadcasts of the NCAA on CBS, featuring NCAA basketball games from the Big East, Big Ten and SEC conferences during the 2010-11 season. College Basketball Live, which first premiered during the 2008-09 season, tips off this Saturday, Dec. 18 with the CBS Sports broadcast of South Carolina at *No. 2 Ohio State (2:00 p.m., ET).

College Basketball Live will stream more than 20 college basketball games free of charge on CBSSports.com over the course of the 2010-11 season. Viewers of College Basketball Live will have the ability to access a scoreboard feature with in-game statistics as well as track college basketball scores and standings from around the country. Additional options include a live chat feature, video preview segments and on-demand highlights as the game progresses.

New for the 2010-11 season, College Basketball Live allows viewers to virtually “check in” to the game, giving users the ability to share their experience and support their team with others in their social network. CBSSports.com offers users the ability to check in for all College Basketball Live games as well as Top 25 college basketball, college football bowl games, and NFL GameCenters.

Mobile users can access College Basketball Live on the CBS Sports Mobile iPhone app, providing fans free, live streaming video from the entire slate of live college basketball games on CBSSports.com. The CBS Sports Mobile iPhone app will also provide full NCAA Division I college basketball scoreboards, individual GameTrackers for top 25 matchups, polls, headlines, and standings. The CBS Sports Mobile iPhone app is available for iPhone and iPod Touch users.
