On a very busy day for CBS Sports, I give them credit for writing this press release on the Sports Emmy Award nominations. I didn’t expect one, but lo and behold, this came just as the evening games in the NCAA Tournament were getting underway. Thanks for the great people at the CBS Sports public relations department for sending this to me.

Among the other nominations for CBS Sports include multiple nods for its coverage of the NCAA Basketball Championship for OUTSTANDING SHORT FEATURE (Willie’s Full Court) and OUTSTANDING LONG FEATURE (The Magic of J-Mac) during its Final Four coverage.

Rounding out the Network’s nominations, CBS Sports, along with Versus, earned them for OUTSTANDING LIVE EVENT TURNAROUND (Tour de France) and CBS Mobile for OUTSTANDING NEW APPROACHES SPORTS EVENT COVERAGE (CBS Mobile NCAA March Madness on Demand).

All we need is Fox Sports and HBO Sports to complete the Sports Emmy Award nomination roundup.
