CBS Sports Previews U.S. Open Tennis Championship Finals

CBS has the Women’s Finals between Samantha Stosur and Serena Williams today following its NFL regional coverage. And on Monday, CBS carries the Men’s Final between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Both are schedule to hit the air at 4 p.m. ET. Now on Monday, some local CBS affiliates may not carry the match and push it to a digital channel or to a co-owned station like a CW affiliate. You will have to check your local listings for the time and channel.

So this is what CBS Sports is saying about its schedule for today and Monday.

No. 9 Samantha Stosur Takes On No. 28 Serena Williams in Women’s Championship
No. 1 Novak Djokovic To Play No. 2 Rafael Nadal in Men’s U.S. Open Championship Rematch

CBS Sports’ continuing coverage of the U.S. Open Tennis Championships on Sunday, Sept. 11 (4:00 PM, ET) is highlighted by the women’s championship as No. 9-seed Samantha Stosur takes on No. 28-seed Serena Williams.

The men’s championship, to be played on Monday, Sept. 12 (4:00 PM, ET), is a rematch of last year’s championship as No. 1-seed Novak Djokovic takes on No. 2-seed Rafael Nadal. Last year Nadal won his first U.S. Open title and his career Grand Slam.

Lead play-by-play announcer Dick Enberg will be joined by expert analysts Mary Carillo and John McEnroe in the booth for the 12th consecutive year.  Mary Joe Fernandez serves as reporter.

Additionally, the remaining U.S. Open play on CBS Sports, including both the men’s and women’s singles championships, will be streamed live on CBSSports.com.  Users can also log onto CBSSports.com to watch daily news and match previews and highlights with Kaylee Hartung, Lauren Shehadi and CBS Sports tennis analyst Justin Gimelstob.

Working his 31st U.S. Open, Bob Mansbach will serve as coordinating producer of CBS Sports’ live coverage of tennis’ final major of the year.  Mansbach and David Winner will produce, and lead director Bob Fishman and Jim Cornell will direct. Mansbach and Ken Mack will produce ARTHUR ASHE KIDS’ DAY, and Suzanne Smith will direct.
