CBS Gets the Rights to the Mountain West Football Championship Game

CBS has just added a football championship game to its portfolio. The Tiffany Network has signed a multi-year deal to air the Mountain West Football Championship starting this December. This will be scheduled to air on December 7 at 10 p.m. ET.

On the same day, CBS will air the SEC Championship at 4 p.m. so the two games will not on back-to-back. That could change, but as for now, there will be as many as three hours separating the two contests.

CBS Sports Network has the main television contract to the Mountain West and will carry 23 games involving conference teams.

Here’s the press release.
