Scott Ferrall Joins CBS Sports Radio

Scott Ferrall who’s been on Howard Stern’s Howard 101 on Sirius XM Satellite Radio since 2006, will be joining CBS Sports Radio when it launches on January 2. He’ll join Jim Rome and Doug Gottlieb who have already been announced.

Ferrall will occupy the 10 p.m. to 2 am. ET slot and utilize his old “Ferrall on the Bench” title for his new terrestrial radio show. It marks the return of Ferrall to CBS Radio. His last stint for the company was on WNEW-FM in New York when he did a morning sports show on the station.

Ferrall will premiere on several CBS and Cumulus stations. We have the announcement of this move below.

“Ferrall on the Bench” Premieres January 2, 2013 On More Than 50 Stations Nationwide, Including Several Top 10 Markets

CBS Sports Radio today announced it has named Scott Ferrall as host of the network’s weekday evening program.  Broadcast live from 10:00PM-2:00AM, ET “Ferrall on the Bench” will take listeners through the day’s headlines and most talked about topics in sports, generate spirited discussions with callers, and conduct captivating interviews with a variety of special guests.

CBS Sports Radio will make its 24/7 debut on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.  It was previously announced that The Jim Rome Show will be broadcast weekdays from 12:00Noon-3:00PM and Doug Gottlieb will serve as host of afternoons (3:00-6:00 PM, ET) on CBS Sports Radio.

CBS Sports Radio will offer around-the-clock national sports coverage and programming, harnessing the power and resources of CBS RADIO and the award-winning CBS Sports.  High-profile personalities from CBS Sports, CBS Sports Network and CBSSports.com will play a prominent role on CBS Sports Radio which will reach more than 10 million listeners when it debuts.  Original programs across multiple weekday and weekend time periods will feature expert sports commentary and interviews with major sports figures along with listener calls and fan interaction.   Cumulus Media Networks serves as the exclusive syndicator and sales partner for CBS Sports Radio.

Ferrall joins CBS Sports Radio from SiriusXM where for the past seven years he has hosted “The Scott Ferrall Show.”  His background includes extensive experience across radio, television and online, both nationally and locally. He has worked for SportsNet New York, several NHL properties, FOX Sports Radio, and Sportsfan Radio Network, as well as major market stations in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami and Pittsburgh.
