Two College Football Programming Notes

We have two releases for you, one from CBS College Sports and the other from Versus in regards to the two channels’ college football coverage on Saturday.

Let’s start with CBS College Sports’ tripleheader.

TRIPLEHEADER OF GAMES HIGHLIGHTS COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY ON CBS COLLEGE SPORTS NETWORK

CBS College Sports Network broadcasts a tripleheader of games on Saturday, Oct. 2, kicking off with Temple at Army at 12:00 NOON, ET from Michie Stadium in West Point, NY.  Dave Ryan teams with Jason Sehorn to call the action. 

At 3:30 PM, ET Cornell takes on Bucknell in a Patriot League match-up from Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium in Lewisburg, Pa.  Jason Knapp pairs with Aaron Taylor for the broadcast.  The Network concludes its live game action with a primetime Conference USA showdown at 8:00 PM, ET as Southern Miss hosts Marshall from M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg, Miss. Roger Twibell serves as play-by-play announcer along with analyst Mike Leach.

Saturday studio coverage includes SEC TONIGHT (7:00-8:00 PM, ET) providing a recap of all the news, scores and highlights from around the SEC.  INSIDE COLLEGE FOOTBALL EXTRA (11:30 PM – 12:00 AM, ET), wraps up the day’s action with news and analysis.  Adam Zucker and Molly Qerim host, along with analysts Brian Jones and Phillip Fulmer.

And Versus has a military academy matchup between Navy and Air Force. And unfortunately, it marks the debut as Kevin Frazier as college football studio host.

VERSUS’ COLLEGE FOOTBALL COVERAGE ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2 FEATURES AN ARMED FORCES BATTLE BETWEEN NAVY AND AIR FORCE
NEW YORK, N.Y. (September 29, 2010)-VERSUS continues its 2010 college football coverage on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET when the Air Force Falcons host the Navy Midshipmen in Colorado. The game will mark the first match-up for the 2010 Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy, which is an annual competition between Air Force, Army and Navy. President Obama will present the trophy to the team that has the best record in the series.

Joe Beninati will call the game action and will be joined in the booth by analyst Kelly Stouffer. Lindsay Soto will be reporting from the sidelines. VERSUS’ College Football Central studio show, which provides pre- and post-game coverage as well as halftime reports, will feature Kevin Frazier in his debut as host along with Roland Williams and Glenn Parker as the in-studio analysts.
