This week, CBS College Sports is in the midst of a free preview on many cable providers so to celebrate the increased viewership, it’s started Armed Forces Salute Week which includes college football tripleheader involving all three military service academies.

The Network’s ARMED FORCES SALUTE week features wall-to-wall special programming dedicated to the service academies, highlighted by a tripleheader of games on Saturday, Oct. 30: Virginia Military Institute at Army (NOON, PM, ET), Duke at Navy (3:30 PM, ET) and Utah at Air Force (7:30 PM, ET).CBS College Sports Network kicks off the day with a one-hour (11:00 AM –NOON, PM, ET) ARMED FORCES SALUTE pre-game show featuring Cadet and Midshipmen representatives from the academies as special guest analysts. The academy representatives include Army senior Katie Murphy from Glendale, Ariz. and Navy Senior Matt Molloy from Berlin, Md., an injured starting offensive tackle on the football team, who will join anchor Adam Zucker and analyst Brian Jones in-studio throughout the day. The show also includes a satellite interview with Lieutenant General David Rodriguez, Commander of the International Security Commissions Force in Afghanistan, who is the father of Army Junior linebacker Andrew Rodriguez.ARMED FORCES SALUTE week programming includes classic service academy football games, vignettes about great moments in academy football, Congressional player salutes, features on current and former players and original programming highlighted by the debut of three, 30-minute documentaries, INSIDE ACADEMY FOOTBALL. The documentaries chronicle the daily routines of football players from each service academy, exploring how their sport intersects, enriches and informs their lives as officers-in-training for the United States military, while delving into the tradition and meaning of football at Army, Navy and Air Force.For two weeks, Monday, Oct. 25 – Saturday, Nov. 6, CBS College Sports Network will reach approximately 57 million households, through the Network’s ARMED FORCES SALUTE free preview, available for affiliated distributors. For the second consecutive year, CBS College Sports Network is offering its cable and satellite partners a free preview for the special programming. Among the affiliate partners participating are Bright House Networks, Comcast Cable, Charter Communications, Cox Communications, DISH Network, Mediacom and Time Warner Cable. The providers are widely expanding the availability of the college sports network, at no cost, to their customers who may not ordinarily receive the network.In addition, the American Forces Network will simulcast CBS College Sports Network’s programming on Saturday, Oct. 30 to U.S. military installations overseas, which includes 175 countries and U.S. territories.The broadcast teams on October 30 are Dave Ryan, Jason Sehorn and sideline reporter junior Cadet Nolan Melson in West Point, NY for VMI-Army. Tom McCarthy, Randy Cross and sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung call the action in Annapolis, Md. for Duke-Navy. Jason Knapp, Aaron Taylor and reporter Brooke Olzendam are in Colorado Springs, Colo. for Utah-Air Force.CBS College Sports Network is the home for U.S. service academy football. The Network is in its seventh consecutive year as Navy’s exclusive broadcast partner for all home football games. In 2009, CBS College Sports Network announced an exclusive five-year agreement with the Army Athletic Association guaranteeing live television coverage of every Army home football game through 2014.
