Neil Best of Newsday blogs that WFAN’s website streamed the Devils-Ottawa game today instead of Mike and the Mad Dog live from Yankee Stadium. Interesting.

It’s still early October, but we must get ready to think about College Basketball season. At least ESPN wants you to think about it because ESPNU will have coverage of Midnight Madness this Friday.

Buffalo Business First reports that despite signing a national deal with Time Warner Cable, the NHL Network may not be carried in upstate New York.

Chris Pursell of TV Week says Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will head the committee overseeing the NFL Network.

The Naples (FL) Daily News says CBS has not decided which SEC game it will air on October 20.

William Houston of the Toronto Globe and Mail writes that CBC’s NHL season opening doubleheader was beaten by CTV last Thursday.

Some links for you tonight. Back to work on Tuesday and I’ll be back with links in the morning.
