Shae-Lynn Bourne and Patrice Bribois Remain In Battle of the Blades

On CBC’s Battle of the Blades, the four “iced” pairs, or those previously eliminated, skated for a chance to return to the show to join the five remaining teams as the competition resumes next week. So figure skater Shae-Lynn Brisbois and her partner, former NHL’er Patrice Brisbois were voted to return. We have the recap for you.

SHAE-LYNN BOURNE AND PATRICE BRISEBOIS ARE BACK IN THE BATTLE!
TORONTO – November 1, 2010 – Sunday night’s Halloween horror-themed performance had the four “iced” pairs competing for the coveted spot of getting a second chance to rejoin the BATTLE OF THE BLADES. Violetta Afanasieva and P.J. Stock and Shae-Lynn Bourne and Patrice Brisebois were announced as the top two and took the ice for an emotional skate-off on Monday night. After skating to Monster Mash dressed as a pair of zombies, it was announced that Shae-Lynn and Patrice will be rejoining the regular competition next week.
The judging panel, including guest judge Curtis Joseph, explained that it was an extremely difficult decision as both pairs gave incredible performances. Overall it was Shae-Lynn and Patrice’s choreography that earned them a spot back in the competition. Judge Sandra Bezic said that their “performance will go down in BATTLE OF THE BLADES history as being a really great piece.”
The five pairs performing next week in regular competition are: Shae-Lynn Bourne and Patrice Brisebois, Isabelle Brasseur and Todd Warriner, Katia Gordeeva and Valeri Bure, Jamie Salé and Theo Fleury, and Kyoko Ina and Kelly Chase.
