NBC Sports has finally announced that it’s going to air the NHL Outdoor Game in Buffalo on New Year’s Day. CBC has announced it will carry the game as well. William Houston of the Toronto Globe and Mail says NBC and CBC will pull out all the stops to televise the game.

And NBC says ratings for the Tour Championship were up over last year (PGA moved it up a month and NBC broadcast it for the first time).

Tommy Bowman of the Winston Salem-Journal writes that the Appalachian State Mountaineers got to preview the Sports South documentary on its win over Michigan.

Ron Aiken of the Free Times (SC) goes after Chris Fowler, Lee Corso and ESPN for going after South Carolina and coach Steve Spurrier.

The Toronto Raptors have announced their TV schedule and all 82 games will be aired through several partners. CBC will have seven home games, all on Sundays.

Michael Grange of the Toronto Globe and Mail says NBA-TV should have shown the Eurobasket 2007 Tournament. Whatever.
