As Canada’s public broadcaster ends its final season as the main rightsholder for the NHL in the Great White North, CBC will focus on the Eastern Conference in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Conference Semifinal round.
Naturally, CBC will ride Montreal for as long as possible. With the Canadiens being the only Canadian team in the postseason, CBC is hoping the team will continue for as long as possible.
Tonight begins the Boston Bruins-Montreal series and Jim Hughson, Craig Simpson and Glenn Healy will be the team for this series. Scott Oake will be the reporter.
Bob Cole, Gary Galley and Greg Millen are assigned to the New York Rangers-Pittsburgh Penguins series. David Amber will be the reporter for the first two games and Cassie Campbell-Pascall will handle the remaining games.
