ESPN3.com To Carry Klitschko-Peter Fight Live on 9/11/10, ESPN on Tape

If you want to the Wladimir Klitschko-Samuel Peter fight live, you’re going to have to watch on your computer as ESPN3.com will carry it. It’ll be seen on regular TV on delay. And ESPN is going have Brian Kenny and Teddy Atlas call the fight in the ESPN studios off a monitor. How great is that? You can read my sarcasm I hope.

ESPN3.com to air Klitschko/Peter Live; ESPN Deportes, ESPN to also Carry Fight
ESPN3.com will present live coverage for U.S. consumers of the Sept. 11 Wladimir Klitschko/Samuel Peter bout from Frankfurt, Germany, beginning at 5 p.m. ET. The live ESPN3.com coverage will mark the second time the platform has carried a Klitschko heavyweight bout.
ESPN Deportes will also air the fight on tape-delay at 8 p.m. ET with a re-air set for ESPN on Sept. 12 at 4:30 p.m. ET.
“We are always looking for opportunities to deliver quality boxing matches on multiple platforms,” said Doug Loughrey, director of programming & acquisitions at ESPN. “We are pleased to present another world title heavyweight bout to for United States-based boxing fans.”
The Klitschko/Peter match was announced on July 22 and was put together after Alexander Povetkin pulled out of his match with Klitschko.

Klitschko (54-3, 48 KOs), the unified heavyweight champion of the world, and Peter (34-3, 27 KOs) first met in a 2005 title elimination bout with Klitschko emerging victorious.

The fight will be called by ESPN’s Brian Kenny and Teddy Atlas stateside.
