Ok, let’s do another Westwood One Sports press release. This is regarding its announcing teams for the NFL season. Westwood One, formerly Dial Global Sports, has the contract for all NFL primetime games, Sunday, Monday and Thursday Night Football. In addition, it will air all Thanksgiving Day games and all of the NFL’s postseason games including Super Bowl XLVIII from New Jersey.
A few changes, Dave Sims who had called Sunday Night Football will move to Sunday afternoons. Taking Dave’s place will be Kevin Kugler who had been on the afternoons. Rod Woodson joins Westwood One to call Sunday afternoon games with Tom McCarthy.
Continuing to call Monday Night Football on radio will be Kevin Harlan and he’ll be joined by either Boomer Esiason or Dan Fouts.
On Thursday nights, Ian Eagle will do the play-by-play and the analyst will be former St. Louis Rams and Kansas City quarterback Trent Green.
