More Costas Now/Buzz Bissinger Fallout

I’ll give you some more links regarding the Costas Now show. As I was leaving my house, I flipped to HBO2 and author Buzz Bissinger was blaming Deadspin’s Will Leitch for his gout and the reduction of the Polar Ice Caps. Bissinger is a first class jerk. Anyway, people are still writing about Tuesday’s Town Hall meeting and I’ll give you some links to the blogs and stories.

From Christopher Byrne’s Eye on Sports Media blog, Chris writes that the validity of Bissinger’s points were lost in his boorish behavior.

Keith Thibeault of the Sports Media Journal has his reaction to the Bissinger blast.

Newsday’s Neil Best talked with Bob Costas to get his thoughts on how the show went.

Richard Sandomir of the New York Times writes Bissinger is now a villain for all blogs.

Ray Frager of the Baltimore Sun says it’s unfortunate that Bissinger did not take a more civil tone.

Tom Hoffarth from the Los Angeles Daily News feels he’s caught in the middle of both arguments .

The poster on Deadspin whom Bissinger referred to as Big Daddy Balls (actually Big Daddy Drew) has his reaction at Kissing Suzy Kolber (maybe Not Safe for Work). Big Daddy Drew writes a facetious apology from Bissinger (this is definitely Not Safe for Work).

Will Leitch from Deadspin was on The Best Damn Sports Show Period on FSN and talked about the Costas Now with Memphis coach John Calipari.

That’s it for this. I hope we can move on now. I’ll have the Thursday links coming up.
