Fox Airs Pac-12 and B1G Championship Games on Consecutive Nights

Fox has a big college football championship weekend as it airs the Pac-12 Championship live from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA on Friday and then the Big Ten Championship live from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN on Saturday.

In the past, Fox would have Gus Johnson and Charles Davis call both games, but this year with a deeper announcing bench, Fox will have Gus, Charles and sideline reporter Molly McGrath assigned to Indianapolis to call the Ohio State vs. Wisconsin for the Big Ten Championship.

Tim Brando, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft will be in Santa Clara as Oregon takes on Arizona for the Pac-12 title.

Without a Big 12 Championship Game, Fox will also air the annual Bedlam Game, Oklahoma at Oklahoma State live from Norman, OK. Joe Davis, Joey Harrington and Kris Budden will call that game.

Here’s Fox’s press release on the whole thing.

BIG TEN AND PAC-12 CHAMPIONS CROWNED THIS WEEKEND ON FOX

No. 2 Oregon Meets No. 11 Arizona Friday at Levi’s Stadium in Pac-12 Showdown;
No. 6 Ohio State Faces No. 14 Wisconsin in Indianapolis for Big Ten Title on Saturday

New York – Two of the top college football conferences in the country crown their champions on FOX this weekend in a pair of matchups that directly impact the College Football Playoff and feature the top two contenders for the Heisman Trophy.

Led by quarterback and Heisman frontrunner Marcus Mariota, No. 2 Oregon battles No. 11 Arizona for the Pac-12 Championship on Friday, Dec. 5. Ranked second in the latest College Football Playoff poll, the Ducks suffered their only loss of the season at the hands of the Wildcats in early October. An Oregon win should guarantee the squad a spot in the inaugural four-team playoff. Tim Brando, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft have the call live from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., when the game kicks off at 9:00 PM ET, while pregame coverage begins at 8:00 PM ET with host Rob Stone and analysts Petros Papadakis and Dave Wannstedt live from the FOX studios in Los Angeles.

The following night on Saturday, Dec. 6, No. 6 Ohio State takes on No. 14 Wisconsin for the Big Ten title with OSU needing a win to remain in the playoff conversation. Ohio State is without quarterback J.T. Barrett, who suffered a season-ending injury over the weekend, as the Buckeyes go up against Heisman candidate running back Melvin Gordon and the Badgers. Gus Johnson, Charles Davis and Molly McGrath are live from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis at 8:00 PM ET with pregame coverage featuring Stone, Klatt and Wannstedt beginning at 7:00 PM ET. College football insider Bruce Feldman is on site filing reports for AMERICA’S PREGAME, FOX SPORTS LIVE and FOX COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREGAME on Friday and Saturday.

Football isn’t the only game in town on Saturday, Dec. 6, as college basketball comes to the FOX broadcast network for the first time this season. Butler out of the BIG EAST hosts Northwestern out of the Big Ten at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, just a post route up the road Lucas Oil Stadium, at 4:30 PM ET.

FOX Sports 1 closes out its college football season with Bedlam on Saturday, Dec. 6, as No. 20 Oklahoma hosts Oklahoma State (3:30 PM ET) in one of the sport’s most heated rivalries. Joe Davis, Joey Harrington and Kris Budden have the call live from Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman.

College football games on FOX and FOX Sports 1 are also available on FOX Sports GO, the app that provides live video of FOX Sports content at home or on the go. The Big Ten and Pac-12 Championship games also air in Spanish on FOX Deportes with Francisco X. Rivera and Erika Reidt on the call.
