I saw this the other day and wondered if I should link to it and after reading it, I’ll provide it today. John Ryan of the San Jose Mercury News theorizes that Barry Bonds sits out Giants games televised on ESPN on purpose.

The Sports Media Watch blog says Dan Patrick will begin his new radio show for the Content Factory on September 9.

Baltimore Sun columnist David Steele has his take on the Michael Vick indictments saying they’re bad news for the NFL. I’ve been keeping an eye on Darren Rovell’s sports business blog on CNBC.com to see if he has an opinion on what this will mean for Vick’s endorsements, but his blog has not been updated since yesterday. I do have a source in the NFL offices and that person has told me to look for an announcement from Commissioner Roger Goodell sometime today. In fact, here it is right now.

Kurt Kraqthorpe of the Salt Lake Tribune has a story on Bobby Clampett who will be in the 18th tower for TNT during the Open Championship starting tomorrow.
