Thanksgiving Eve Links

The Day before Thanksgiving and I know many of you aren’t in work mode, but I’ll give you links for today. Most likely, I won’t have links tomorrow, but before I go to bed, I’ll have College Football Viewing Picks for Friday as well as NFL Picks for tomorrow. So we have lot of things to get to before the holiday.

We have David Scott of Boston Sports Media Watch giving out his annual Turkeys in the Boston Sports Media.

Neil Best of Newsday writes in his blog that Knicks postgame coverage on MSG Network becomes an interesting viewing exercise.

Michael Hiestand of USA Today says the NFL has a responsibility to get the games to its fans.

Jim Williams of the DC/Baltimore Examiner writes about the wild ending to Sunday’s Cleveland-Baltimore game from the CBS production truck’s point of view.

The Los Angeles Times reports that there’s no apparent deal on the horizon for the NFL Network with any of the major cable companies.

In an editorial, the Indianapolis Star suggests that the state not get involved in the Big Ten Network and NFL Network disputes. Ted Cox of the Chicago Daily Herald says the Big Ten Network is still facing a Comcast shutout at the end of the year.

John Ryan of the San Jose Mercury News does a Q & A column on the NFL Network vs. Comcast dispute. Tim Lemke of the Washington Times writes that the fans are the real losers. In the Portland (ME) Press-Herald, Rich Brooks shares his frustration over Time Warner not putting the NFL Network on its lineup. Ira Kaufman in the Tampa Tribune says the fans lose out in this dispute.

Bob Wolfley in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel looks into the coverage of the Packers alleged bounties.

Evan Weiner of the New York Sun says the Thanksgiving Day game has deep roots in the NFL.

I’ll have more stuff coming up.
