A Monday Update

Let’s give you an update for today.

Neil Best of Newsday blogs that the Giants-Bills game was not chosen for primetime on December 23 and the Redskins-Vikings has been put on NBC in its place. Neil laments that WFAN’s Mike & the Mad Dog didn’t read his blog and yelled about putting the Packers-Bears in the primetime slot instead not knowing that Fox had protected it. Neil continues to get the NFL scheduling news for December 23, he reports that the Dolphins-Patriots game will be put in the 4:15 p.m slot for CBS. Finally, Neil discusses the on-going feud between the New York Knicks and the New York Daily News. Interesting stuff.

John Ryan of the San Jose Mercury News writes that the Buccaneers-49ers game the original choice for primetime for December 23, has been flexed out.

David Barron of the Houston Chronicle blogs about the ratings for the Bucs-Texans game.

Toni Fitzgerald of Media Life Magazine reports that the NFL overrun last night gave CBS a ratings win.

Glen Dickson writes in Broadcasting & Cable about YES Network going interactive. And Dickson adds a story regarding NBA.com utilizing Microsoft’s Silverlight technology for its video players. MLB.com also uses it.

Mark Miller of the Bluffton (IN) News-Banner writes that fans have to be ready to pay for games that they used to watch for free.

Dave Zweifel, Editor of the Capital (WI) Times says the Big Ten and NFL Network disputes has really irked sports fans.
