I’ll give you some linkage here as I watch the Red Sox-Tigers game.

Three links to the Sports Media Watch. First, the SMW says Game 7 of the Hawks-Celtics series drew decent ratings for ABC despite it being a blowout. Next, the blog reports that without Tiger Woods, the Wachovia Championship drew miniscule ratings for CBS. Finally, Paul Sen says the NHL is now red hot.

I saw this earlier and couldn’t believe it, but apparently it’s true. Awful Announcing says ESPN has hired former WWE “announcer” Jonathan “Coach” Coachman as an anchor. He’s also done some work at MSG Network.

Ken Schott of the Schenectady Gazette says Time Warner Cable’s local channel will show AHL Calder Cup playoff action.

John Consoli of Mediaweek says ratings for 22 first round NBA playoff games on TNT are up 10% from last season.

Barry Horn of the Dallas Morning News says the ratings for last night’s four overtime thriller between San Jose and Dallas were good even in the final quarter-hour from 1:15 a.m. – 1:30 a.m. CT. Chuck Carlton of the News says FSN Southwest will replay the game in a condensed version this Thursday.

Keith Reed of the Cincinnati Enquirer writes that the NFL is asking the Bengals to lobby to place the NFL Network on local cable systems.

The Biz of Baseball has the comments from Jim Kaat and Chip Carey from the TBS Sunday Afternoon Baseball game.

Multichannel News says CBS College Sports is undertaking a two month college baseball tour.

The Big Ten Network will televise the conference’s softball tournament this week.

Julianne Smolinski of TV Week writes that ESPN and MobiTV are teaming up for a promotion which will climax with a live event just for AT&T Wireless subscribers.

The Deseret Morning News reports a freelance producer for ESPN has pleaded guilty to child pornography possession charges.

Sarah Baldauf of US News & World Report talks with CBS Sports’ Jim Nantz about sports, his father who suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease and his new book.

That’s going to do it for tonight.
