Replay of the 147th Belmont Stakes

After a 37 year drought, the longest in horse racing history, American Pharoah, the horse with the misspelled name has put his name in the record books as only the 12th to complete the Triple Crown. Affirmed in 1978 was the last winner, and there were several opportunities for horses to do it, but it never happened until this year.

He took the lead from the start and never looked back. NBC’s Larry Collmus had the great call from wire to wire.

NBC has given us all three of American Pharoah’s races so why not relive them all?

And that was impressive to watch. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait another 37 years for another Triple Crown winner.
