Doctor Who Series 6 & Season Premiere Trailers

Ok, since Mad Men’s new season is not going to premiere this year, I need a TV program to promote for the Spring and that is going to be Doctor Who. Thank goodness the show is returning this Saturday. Not only is the show premiering in the UK on Saturday, but also on BBC America so that is a good thing.

One piece of news, we expect to see a tribute to Elisabeth Sladen before the premiere. Doctor Who fans know that she played Sarah Jane Smith and was one of the most beloved companions in the series. She passed away this week after a bout with cancer. In 2006, she was brought back to the series and was the star of the The Sarah Jane Advenutures on the BBC’s Children’s service.

Well, the Season 6 premiere will have the Doctor, companion Amy Pond and her husband Rory, going the 1970’s to rescue a little girl from a mysterious spaceman. We have the prequel. I hope this works. This comes directly from the BBC’s website.

Next, the Series 6 trailer.

This will be fun to watch. And I’ll do my best to post promos here. The Season Premiere of Doctor Who airs this Saturday on BBC America at 9 p.m. Eastern.
