BBC Gets Huge Audience For Usain Bolt's Gold Medal-Winning Run

My apologies for not posting the Olympic Viewing Guides or the Primetime Viewing Picks. Was seeing a few friends and got back late so I wasn’t able to post them.

So for the memorable men’s 100 meters race won by Usain Bolt, BBC says its audience peaked at an amazing 20 million people. That almost doubled the audience that watched Andy Murray win his emotional gold medal in the men’s tennis gold medal match earlier in the day.

  • BBC Sport Online saw a record 24.5m UK unique browsers across the week (Mon 30 Jul- Sun 5 Aug) with 10.5m International unique browsers to make a weekly Global browser figure of 34.7m
