Thursday Night Football Travels to Philly for the Andy Reid Reunion

In Week 3, Philadelphia Eagles fans get to see a familiar face on the visiting sideline at Lincoln Financial Field this week. Former coach Andy Reid will be roaming the sideline in Kansas City red instead of Philadelphia Eagles green on Thursday night. NFL Network airs the Andy Reid reunion in Philadelphia.

As usual, Brad Nessler, Mike Mayock and Alex Flanagan will be the game night crew calling the game. For the pregame show, you’ll have Rich Eisen and his merry band of analysts for NFL Total Access Kickoff.

Game time is 8:30 p.m. ET.

The eighth season of NFL Network’s Thursday Night Football continues this week when Kansas City head coach Andy Reid returns to Philadelphia as the Chiefs face new head coach Chip Kelly and the Eagles Thursday, September 19 at 8:00 PM ET. Reid was the head coach of the Eagles for 14 seasons, amassing 130 wins (most in franchise history), six NFC East division titles and five NFC Championship Game appearances.

Play-by-play announcer Brad Nessler and two-time Emmy-nominated analyst Mike Mayock return to the Thursday Night Football broadcast booth for their third season and are joined by Alex Flanagan, who enters her fourth year as the sideline reporter.

NFL Network’s NFL Total Access Kickoff pregame show is live from the stadium starting at 6:00 PM ET. Host Rich Eisen is joined by Hall of Famers Marshall Faulk, Deion Sanders and Michael Irvin, and former head coach Steve Mariucci. Reporters Alex Flanagan and Stacey Dales provide pregame news reports from the locker rooms and interviews with players and coaches, while NFL Media’s national insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Media’s Mike Silver are on-location with the latest news from around the NFL.

Last week’s Thursday Night Football opener between the New York Jets and New England Patriots delivered a 5.5 US HH rating (8.8 Cvg HH rating) and was watched by an average of 8.8 million viewers (not including over-the-air stations in New York and New England) – ranking it as the highest-rated and most-watched opener in the eight seasons of Thursday Night Football. Additionally, as the No. 1 US HH rated program that night (9/12) it was Thursday’s most-watched program among all shows on broadcast and cable television, out-delivering CBS’ Big Brother and Fox’s The X-Factor.

International award-winning actress and recording artist Priyanka Chopra’s track “In My City” is the new theme for Thursday Night Football. This is Chopra’s second year being featured on NFL Network as last season she kicked off the Thursday Night Football pregame show.

Eisen, Faulk, Sanders, Irvin, Mariucci, Rapoport and Silver provide additional analysis on the Lexus Halftime Show and the postgame show. Following the game, hosts Dan Hellie and Amber Theoharis, and NFL Network analysts Darren Sharper and Willie McGinest will deliver a postgame edition of NFL Total Access live from NFL Network’s studios in Los Angeles.
