Your Week 4 Primer for the 2013 NFL Season

So any blackouts today?
No, none. Through four weeks, all games have been sold out ensuring fans in all of the home markets can watch their favorite teams. Now, depending on where you live, that may not be a good thing.

There’s a game in London today?
Yes. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings are in the UK today where the media is not really paying attention. It’s a battle of 0-3 teams for one. And CBS is carrying the game with Jim Nantz and Phil Simms on the call.

Is this the only game in the UK this season?
No. The NFL will have another game in London’s Wembley Stadium later in the season between San Francisco and Jacksonville in Week 8. Fox will air that game.

So what are the Games of the Week for Week 4?
Well, CBS has a bowl of slop for this week as the glamor games they could have aired have been slotted for primetime. New England at Atlanta is on NBC tonight (Al Michaels/Cris Collinsworth//Michele Tafoya) and Miami at New Orleans will be on ESPN on Monday night (Mike Tirico/Jon Gruden//Lisa Salters). So because of how the schedule and teams did in the first three weeks of the season, we can’t name a game for CBS this week.

As for Fox, it’s Seattle at Houston early (Chris Myers/Tim Ryan//Jennifer Hale) and Philly at Denver (Joe Buck/Troy Aikman//Pam Oliver) late.

So is there anything I need to know?
No. Not today. Enjoy the games.
