ESPN has provided us with the men and women who will be involved in calling and reporting college basketball in 2013-14. The networks of ESPN will begin airing college basketball games for the new season this weekend.
One major change for ESPN, the loss of the Big East to Fox Sports 1 and CBS and with it, analyst Bill Raftery. In its place on Big Monday, the ACC. Sean McDonough and Jay Bilas will call the games in the early slot.
To close out Big Monday, it will be the Big 12 and Brent Musburger and Fran Fraschilla return to call that conference.
Nice to see Dave Pasch and Bill Walton back to call Pac-12 games on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
And Dick Vitale and Dan Shulman will be teamed on the Saturday Primetime package and selected ACC games.
Here’s the ESPN press release. It’s long, but worth reading.

Who:
- Basketball Hall of Famer Dick Vitale enters his 35th season calling games for ESPN and will be paired with Dan Shulman. During conference play, Vitale, Shulman and reporter Shannon Spake will work the Saturday Primetime game that host’s that day’s College GameDay.
- Jay Bilas will work his 19th college basketball season for the network and continues to be a fixture on ESPN’s Big Monday ACC package with play-by-play veteran Sean McDonough. Reporter Jeannine Edwards will join the duo this season. The trio of Brent Musburger, Fran Fraschilla and Holly Rowe return to work the second half of the Big Monday doubleheader featuring Big 12 programs.
