ESPN Adds The ACC to Big Monday College Basketball Doubleheaders

With Fox Sports 1 luring the New Big East conference to its fold and ESPN retaining the Old Big East, the American Athletic Conference, but its members not being as attractive as the New Big East, the Alleged Worldwide Leader has decided to bring the ACC into its Big Monday franchise. Starting on January 13, 2014 and lasting until March 3, ESPN will air eight ACC/Big 12 doubleheaders on Monday.

The Big East had been part of Big Monday since the franchise’s inception. The Big 12 joined in the 1991-92 season (it was the Big 8 then) after the Big Ten did not like being in the 9 p.m. ET timeslot.

Duke will be seen twice, on the opening night of Big Monday, January 13 and again on January 27. North Carolina will be on three times. New ACC members Syracuse, Notre Dame and Pittsburgh, all of which come over from the Old Big East will also be part of the Big Monday just like they did in the past.

For the Big 12, Oklahoma State will be on four times with Kansas on three times. In fact, Kansas will open the Big 12 part of Big Monday against Iowa State.

We have the Big Monday schedule for you.
