Boston College Athletic Director Gene DeFilippo is meeting with the media to inform reporters that he has fired football coach Jeff Jagodzinski for interviewing with the New York Jets. ESPN is showing the press conference at Chestnut Hill live.
Jagodzinski is not only a candidate for the Jets position, but also the offensive coordinator’s position for the Seattle Seahawks. Jagodzinski is not in Communist China and should be free to go where he wants. DeFilippo has to understand that he cannot restrict a coach’s movements.
Plus, DeFilippo thinks that Boston College should be the last destination for coaches. BC is not even considered as a major sports program.
