DEVELOPING: ESPN’s Josh Elliot Leaves for GMA

This just tweeted by James Arthur Miller, the co-author of the upcoming tome on ESPN. Josh Elliot, the morning SportsCenter co-anchor with Hannah Storm is leaving to join ABC’s Good Morning America as the news anchor. He replaces Juju Chang who is leaving to go to Nightline.

Elliot has been co-anchoring the 9 a.m. – noon ET block of SportsCenter with Hannah Storm on ESPN since its inception in 2008. He filled in on Good Morning America on Tuesday.

Alex Weprin at TVNewser reports that ESPN is not happy over losing one of its stars to GMA.

Josh joins ESPN alumnus Robin Roberts full-time. Of course, Erin Andrews of ESPN is also contributing to Good Morning America.

We’ll have more on this as it develops.
