The NBA on TNT Returns to Thursday Night with Four 50-Win Teams in Action
Exclusive Doubleheader Features Celtics @ Spurs and Mavericks @ Lakers
TNT’s coverage of the NBA returns to Thursday night on March 31 with an exclusive doubleheader featuring four teams with more than 50 wins. The first game of the night will feature Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics visiting Tony Parker and the San Antonio Spurs at 8 p.m. (ET). Kevin Harlan (play-by-play) and Kevin McHale (analyst) will be courtside with David Aldridge reporting. In the second game of the night, Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers will host Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks at 10:30 p.m. (ET). Play-by-play announcer Dick Stockton will call the game alongside analysts Mike Fratello and Reggie Miller with Cheryl Miller reporting. The Emmy® award-winning studio show Inside the NBA with Matt Winer (host), Rick Fox and Chris Webber (analysts) will recap the games.
The 2010-11 season of the NBA on TNT is the most-watched season in Turner’s 27 years of airing NBA coverage. Through 46 games, the NBA on TNT is averaging a 1.6 U.S. household rating (+35% vs. 1.2 for last year’s corresponding coverage); 2,427,000 total viewers (+39% vs. 1,744,000); and 1,810,000 households (+36% vs. 1,328,000). In addition, this season’s audience is 29% larger than Turner’s second-best regular-season audience from 1995-96 (1,885,000).
