Steelers-Broncos AFC Wild Card Playoff Game Draws Huge Number For CBS

The Sports Business Daily’s John Ourand has tweeted last night’s overnight rating for the Pittsburgh Steelers-Denver Broncos overtime thriller that saw the first use of the modified NFL playoff overtime system:

A 25.9 rating is absolutely stunning. CBS Sports officials must be doing handstands and backflips down the hallways in their New York City offices today. I’m sure we’ll get a press release once the numbers are made official by Nielsen and CBS.

We’ll hopefully get local viewership numbers as I’m wondering what Denver saw for its rating.
