On the next to last weekend of regular season play, TBS heads up to Boston to air the Tampa Bay Rays-Boston Red Sox contest as the American League Wild Card race is tightening up. With the Red Sox losing to Tampa Bay on Saturday, it means that the Rays are just three games in back of Boston. Matt Vasgersian who called Saturday’s game for Fox, stays in Boston to get a paycheck from TBS. I don’t I’ve ever seen that, someone calling two games from the same series for different networks.
And Fang’s Bites fave Jaime Maggio will be the field reporter for TBS on Sunday. We have the press release for you. And I’m still waiting on the announcing assignments for TBS’ first doubleheader next Sunday.
