Lastly from the Sports Emmy Awards press releases, MLB Network proudly took home two awards. One was for Bob Costas, sharing that with NBC for Outstanding Studio Host. MLB Tonight Honored as Outstanding Studio Show – Daily
MLB Network’s Bob Costas wins 22nd Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Personality – Studio HostSecaucus, NJ, May 3, 2011 – The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences last night awarded MLB Network two Sports Emmy Awards. MLB Tonight, MLB Network’s signature nightly studio show, was honored in an extremely competitive category as Outstanding Studio Show – Daily. Bob Costas, host of MLB Network’s Studio 42 with Bob Costas and play-by-play voice for Thursday Night Baseball, received his 22nd Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Personality- Studio Host for his work with both MLB Network and NBC Sports.
