We begin with ESPN’s Family of Networks which received a total of 52 Sports Emmy Awards noms, the most of […]

We have the nominations, all 170 in 33 different categories, for the 33rd Annual Sports Emmy Awards. They just came out today. There are some surprises like massive hockey charlatan Pierre McGuire nominated in the Sports Reporter category and for some really strange reason, Skippy Bayless of ESPN2’s First Take was nominated for Best Studio […]

National Geographic Channel Presents "Finding The Lost Da Vinci"

Tonight on National Geographic Channel, it’s the fascinating program, “Finding The Lost DaVinci.” I saw a preview of this on Friday. This deals with the possible find of a lost Leonardo Da Vinci mural, thought to have been missing for 500 years, “The Battle of Anghiari.” One man has spent over 35 years looking for […]

Quick Sunday Linkage

While I have a moment, let’s provide some rare Sunday links. The lovely Nicole Auerbach of USA Today notes that ESPN’s Bob Knight won’t mention Kentucky by name on the air. ESPN allows Knight to wear sweaters on the air instead of a suit and tie and now this. I don’t understand it. The Associated […]
