truTV’s Ratings For Second Night of FIRST FOUR Down From Tuesday

Despite heavy promotion and having Screamin’ Gus Johnson on the call, the American people were not enamored with seeing a second night of NCAA Tournament’s FIRST FOUR®. The first night averaged an 0.85. Wednesday’s overnights averaged a 0.7 for the two games according to Brian Helfrich, the Assistant Managing Editor of Sports Business Daily.

It did not help that both games last night were rather dull and started with blowout city between Alabama State and Texas-San Antonio. While the final margin was only 9 points, the outcome was never in doubt.

No press release from Turner Sports on this piece of news. With the Tournament about to start in earnest, I’m sure people will be more interested in the games today and tomorrow.
