The NFL-related releases keep rolling in. Westwood One Radio tells us that Kevin Harlan will call his first Super Bowl for a national audience this Sunday. He’ll be joined by Boomer Esiason in the booth and James Lofton and Mark Malone on the sidelines. Also joining Westwood One for Super Bowl Sunday will be Jim “The Decision” Gray and Scott Graham. New York, NY – January 31, 2011 – Westwood One, the exclusive network radio home of the National Football League (NFL), is proud to announce the all-star broadcast team for Super Bowl XLV featuring: Kevin Harlan, Boomer Esiason, Mark Malone, James Lofton, Jim Gray and Scott Graham. Super Bowl XLV airs live from the Cowboys Stadium in North Texas on Sunday, February 6, 2011 as the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Green Bay Packers. Super Bowl XLV will be heard on over 650 radio stations across America.
Beginning at 5:00 p.m. ET, the Monday Night Football broadcast team of Kevin Harlan and Boomer Esiason will call their first Super Bowl together. Hall of Fame Packers receiver James Lofton will patrol the Green Bay sidelines and former Steelers quarterback Mark Malone will report from the Pittsburgh sidelines. Jim Gray hosts the pregame and halftime shows, as well as provides interviews and insight from athletes and celebrities in attendance, and Scott Graham kicks off the coverage hosting Super Bowl Preview at 3:00 p.m. ET, followed by Super Sunday at 4:00 p.m. ET. Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Irvin will also contribute to the Westwood One Super Bowl pregame show.
GRAMMY award winning trio Lady Antebellum will kick off Westwood One’s coverage of Super Sunday with a special version of their song “Stars Tonight” mixed together with highlights of the Green Bay Packers’ and Pittsburgh Steelers’ seasons as they continue their quest for the Vince Lombardi trophy. The reigning CMA and ACM Vocal Group of the Year’s current album NEED YOU NOW has spawned three consecutive number one hits and was recently certified TRIPLE PLATINUM bringing the group to a career total of over five million albums sold.
