When NBCUniversal took over USA Network, it phased the channel out of sports only to air Olympics and handle other overflow stuff. But there seemed to be a change when NBC Sports Group decided to use USA for the NHL Playoffs in April and May.
Now USA will be used for the Saturday 10 a.m. ET window for the English Premier League which means NBCSN and USA will air games at the same time. And Extra Time will also have games at 10 a.m.
This Saturday, USA will have the Everton vs. Watford game. Overall, USA will have 40 weekend games, most on Saturdays.
So NBC Sports Group is increasing its commitment to the English Premier League this season with more games on cable. The USA games will be streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra app for mobiles, tablets and computers.

All Matches Available on NBC Sports Live ExtraSTAMFORD, Conn. – August 6, 2015 – Further bolstering NBCUniversal’s unprecedented coverage of the Premier League, the company’s USA Network, one of the industry’s top cable entertainment networks, will present a weekly Premier League match throughout the 2015-16 season, it was announced today.
With the Premier League season kicking off this Saturday, August 8, USA Network’s first telecast will be this Saturday at 10 a.m. ET, as U.S. Men’s National Team goalkeeper Tim Howard and Everton host Watford.
For the season, USA Network will televise more than 40 weekend Premier League games — most during the multi-match Saturday 10 a.m. ET window. Premier League fans in the U.S. can now enjoy two live matches in most Saturday 10 a.m. ET windows: one game on NBCSN and one on USA.
“Bringing Premier League soccer to USA is a key part of our overall strategy to add more live programming to the network,” said Chris McCumber, President of USA Network. “This is a great opportunity to help expand the platform for the top league in the world’s most popular sport.”
This past spring, for the first time in 30 years, USA Network televised NHL Stanley Cup Playoff games.
All remaining Premier League matches will be made available on Premier League Extra Time, a bonus television package available to MVPDs at no extra cost for customers who receive NBCSN.
In addition, weekly matches will be telecast in Spanish by TELEMUNDO and NBC UNIVERSO, and will also be streamed on the NBC Deportes EN VIVO EXTRA app for mobile devices.
All Premier League games will be streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets and connected TVs – via “TV Everywhere,” giving consumers additional value to for their subscription service, and making high quality content available to MVPD customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.
