CBC Begins Final NHL Playoff Campaign as Main Canadian Rightsholder

CBC enters its last NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs as the main Canadian rightsholder as Rogers takes over next season. In the meantime, CBC will go into the 2014 with a heavy heart and do the best job it can to go out on top.

CBC has rights to four first round series including Tampa Bay-Montreal, the only one involving a Canadian team. CBC will ride the Canadiens as long as they’re in the postseason. The main team of Jim Hughson, Craig Simpson, Glenn Healy and David Amber will cover the series for the duration.

CBC will also carry Pittsburgh-Columbus, St. Louis-Chicago and San Jose-Los Angeles.

Here’s CBC’s press release for its coverage plans for the first round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
