Now to CBS which will once again use a gimmick to hook viewers. As the Tiffany Network airs the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Tuesday, a VS model will make an appearance on The NFL Today to hype the show and to have her make silly game picks. Last year, CBS had Ms. Aldrich on the same show as it barely discussed the Javon Belcher murder-suicide tragedy.
Hopefully, we won’t have anything like that this year, but these Victoria’s Secret segments never go well. They’re always awkward and seem so strange to have grown middle-aged men fawn over a supermodel.
Anyway, here’s what CBS is saying about the NFL Week 14. By the way, one change for the Cleveland-New England game. Bill Macatee was stuck in Dallas due to the crazy weather in the Metroplex and Don Criqui will take his place. I’ll make that adjustment in the NFL Viewing Picks.

The CBS Television Network continues its 54th year broadcasting the NFL with coverage of THE NFL ON CBS on Sunday, Dec. 8 (1:00-7:00 PM, ET) beginning with THE NFL TODAY, the Network’s one-hour studio show (12:00 NOON-1:00 PM, ET), and THAT OTHER PREGAME SHOW on CBS Sports Network (9:00 AM-1:00 PM, ET) live from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City.
THE NFL ON CBS lead announce team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms call the action from the Tennessee Titans-Denver Broncos game live from Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, Colo. Lance Barrow is the coordinating producer and lead game producer and Mike Arnold is the lead game director.

(On Peyton Manning and New England loss fueling rest of season): You always learn from losing in the NFL and I think Denver learned that you’ve got to be who you are and don’t let other teams dictate what you’re going to do in a football game. Denver is built to push and they’re built to be aggressive on the offensive side. I think they learned that lesson against New England. I don’t think weather was a factor as far as what they could have done up there (but that’s a couple of weeks ago). The lesson learned was, do not take your best players out of the game. By that I mean the wide receivers and the quarterback, Peyton Manning. Let them be part of it. And if you do that, then your chances of winning go up greatly.
(On Tennessee vs. Denver): It’s been an emotional roller coaster for the Denver Broncos with games against the Chiefs and Patriots. That’s a lot so now you come home and the big thing for them is not to relax. It’s not in their makeup. John Fox is back so that will give them some extra energy and we all know Peyton is always going to be pushing the players. The home crowd will be excited to have them back in town after two weeks on the road, so I don’t expect a let down from them. Tennessee does have some players that you do have to worry about. They have game-breakers on the offensive side no doubt, and they are a defense that’s not afraid to take chances. That always is a concern when you play a team like that.

This week THE NFL TODAY features Cowher’s return to coaching as he visits Moore, Okla. for a special day with the Moore Pirates Jr. Football League for their final practice of the season. After a national contest conducted throughout the season by CBS Sports where teams submitted videos via Instagram to #CoachMeCowher on why they should have Cowher coach them, he visited the area that was devastated last spring by a tornado. Along with coaching the team in their final practice, Cowher also had motivational words for the team, as well as the players’ parents. Charlie Bloom is the producer.
