Let’s provide the announcing assignments for the first four weeks of the 2013 NFL season. Of course, these are subject to change, but let etch these in stone right now.
As usual, CBS will have all of its games in Week 1 in the early window to accommodate its coverage of the US Open in the 4:30 p.m. timeslot. CBS will have consecutive doubleheaders in Weeks 2 and 3, then regional coverage in Week 4.
The games that Jim Nantz and Phil Simms are doing in the first four weeks in order, Cincinnati at Chicago (1 p.m. ET), this year’s Manning Bowl-Denver at New York Giants (4:25 p.m.), Indianapolis at San Francisco (4:25 p.m.) and Pittsburgh vs. Minnesota in London (1 p.m.).
CBS brings back a sideline reporter for one week, Tracy Wolfson assigned to New England at Buffalo with Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf in Week 1. This is for one week only as the Wolf will be back on the SEC on CBS the following week.
So without further delay, here’s the announcing assignments for the NFL on CBS for the first quarter of the 2013 season.
