Analyst Michael Strahan on the hit Vikings defensive end Jared Allen put on Bears guard Lance Louis, knocking him out for the season: “When there’s an interception and you have these offensive lineman that aren’t used to chasing or running to try and tackle somebody, you know that you can blow a guy up. But out of respect for the game, if you want to blow him up, you can still hit him in the body. To see Jared do that was a surprise to me. I’m disappointed because it was so unnecessary.”

NFL Insider Jay Glazer reports on the real reason that Oakland linebacker Rolando McClain was suspended for two weeks: “There’s a history. A couple of weeks ago he was fined $1,500 for conduct detrimental to the team. He’s gotten into it with the coaches. They’ve benched him, tried to get him to run on scout teams but he hasn’t agreed to do much. He got into last week with head coach Dennis Allen. Someone asked him last week if he even cared and he said ‘I have four million reasons not to care’ and coach said that’s it. That’s what the players are telling me.”
Glazer also reported on an injury Jared Allen has been playing with all season: “Jared Allen this entire season has been playing with a torn labrum in his shoulder. It’s a tear that requires surgery. He knew about it going into the season. Doctors told him if he had it now, he would miss the season so he decided to wait until after the season. He hasn’t missed practice but it’s just kind of hanging on there. It’s one of the reasons he’s gone from 22 sacks last season down to seven this season.”

Analyst Michael Strahan the Jets’ tumultuous season: “The Jets don’t have playmakers. Darrelle Revis and Santonio Holmes were the guys you could expect great plays from. Mark Sanchez has so much pressure on him but I don’t think the players trust that he has the ability to bring them back if they are down and they don’t trust Tebow so where do they go? That team is in turmoil and it starts from up top.”

Mike Tannenbaum is responsible for putting the talent together for the Jets. Someone’s head is going to be chopped off after this season and I have a feeling it’s not going to be Rex Ryan. Co-host Terry Bradshaw on Peyton Manning comeback: “I admire Peyton Manning for making a decision to continue his career with all the uncertainty after being out one full year. When I got injured at 33, I’d had enough. I didn’t want to go through any rehab or surgery to fix my elbow. I was finished. Peyton had some unfinished business and maybe he motivated a little bit by his brother.”
