Maury Brown’s Biz of Hockey breaks news that CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada will now be available through the NHL Network. That means those of us who purchased the NHL Center Ice package no longer have to shell out $169.99 for an entire season and watch the games without having to pay extra.
This includes CBC’s doubleheaders on Saturday night, its pregame show, Scotiabank Hockey Tonight as well as its acclaimed After Hours postgame show. For puckheads across the United States, it spells very good news.
In addition, TSN’s Wednesday Night Hockey package will be seen on NHL Network.
From a network that seemed desperate for programming when it first launched, now comes some great news for hockey fans who wondered when NHL Network was going to expand its live game schedule.
