It’s Day 8 of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs and the NBC Sports Group is having a rip roaring time with hockey. This is a literal puckgasm for NHL fans throughout the United States.
Tonight, we have two elimination games, one in Philadelphia and the other in Los Angeles and in both cases, the lower seed has the upper hand. NBC Sports Network will carry both potential elimination games tonight. CNBC has the New York Rangers taking on Ottawa in Scotiabank Place in what has been a very good series between a #1 and #8 seed.

Also in the East, the #8 Ottawa Senators look to even their series on their home-ice against the #1 New York Rangers (lead series 2-1) at 7:30 p.m. ET on CNBC. Concluding tonight’s action on NBC Sports Network at 10 p.m. ET, the host #8 Los Angeles Kings, leading the series 3-0, hope to finish their series tonight against the #1 Vancouver Canucks. GAMES TELEVISED SO FAR
For the first time in the 95-year history of the NHL, every Stanley Cup Playoff game will be televised nationally. The NBC Sports Group will provide unprecedented access to the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs in April, May and June, televising as many as 105 playoff games and possibly more than 262.5 hours of programming. Games will be presented on NBC, the NBC Sports Network, the NHL Network, and NBCUniversal’s business channel CNBC in primetime.
